About Me

Ever since I was a little girl, I always had a camera in my hand (and maybe a flashcube as well).  As I evolved, my photography changed from 110 film, to 35mm to medium format and on to digital.  My first "event" I photographed was my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary.  I guess you could say I caught the photography bug at an early age.  I was a mere 14 years old.  I remember sitting around my grandparent's houses looking over family heirloom photos and past events.  I love a good novel - what the photos evoke without saying words are the stories I showcase.  Memories that are heirlooms - photos that tell the story of your life - that is what I strive for.

I absolutely love to capture newborn babies as they enter the world and as well their first days and milestones.  Watching my clients "grow-up" literally in front of my camera is a sweet compliment.  First days, months, years.  Family portraits and lifestyle sessions amaze me.  Each family is unique; and their story equally so.  I also offer senior portrait sessions, pop the question and engagement sessions, trash the dress and fabulous at forty events, as well as local and destination weddings.  God's daily blessings.

My sessions are laid-back and relaxed.  I love the "in the moment" pictures.  You know, the ones you can't reproduce, or "stage".  Yes, with some sessions, like senior portraits, I will guide a client to pose correctly, but for the most part, I want to capture YOU and what makes YOU unique and awesome.  I have a studio for newborns and young tots.  I prefer to shoot children and families in their favorite locations - they are much more at ease and the pictures show it.

Allow me the pleasure and honor to capture your family story for you as well.  Please peruse the site for samples of my work and style.  Have a favorite spot or new idea?  I love to travel.
